ABOUT

We examine how mammals overcome the challenges of living within changing environments.

Climate change and human-mediated activities are seeing global environmental shifts.   We are interested in the human-wildlife nexus in this changing landscape.

We examine how mammals overcome the challenges of living within changing environments across evolutionary and historical timescales as well as patterns seen in contemporary times.

We are examining specifically how the movement of mammals back into the marine environment altered :

  • physiology

  • predator-prey relationships

  • communication systems

  • spatial patterns

  • disease ecology
